MERT Training

Enroll Your Educational Staff in On-site or Virtual MERT Training

Your school nurse and your support staff play an important role in student safety. Contact MiSchool Nurse to arrange MERT Training for them. Also known as a MERT course, participants learn how to develop a team that can respond effectively to any medical emergencies in their schools.

Children need to be safe in school to ensure they’re ready to learn. Several provisions are needed to create an environment that fosters happy, healthy learning, not the least of which is having a staff that’s prepared to act when medical emergencies arise. Ensure your staff responds effectively to any medical emergencies when you enroll them in professional MERT training.

You never know when an accident or medical emergency might happen, but if it does, knowing how to respond accordingly can keep everyone calm and collected. At MiSchool Nurse, we proudly offer a MERT course authorized by the American Heart Association and American Red Cross to educational staff and school nurses across the nation.

Emergency response training is beneficial to everyone and a necessity for medical personnel. Students may have medical issues that a school nurse might be aware of, but all school staff should be prepared to provide emergency first aid if necessary. With our help, you can enhance your school’s ability to provide exceptional care and education.

Provide Your Students with a Safe Learning Environment

While your students’ education is important, equally as important is their safety at school. Part of creating an ideal learning space for your students is ensuring they are in the skilled hands of caring professionals. In our MERT course, participants learn how to develop a team that’s capable of responding effectively to any medical emergencies that might occur. Some of the life-threatening emergencies that staff members are trained to handle include, but are not limited to:

·         Asthma Attacks
·         Diabetic Emergencies
·         Seizures
·         Sudden Cardiac Arrest

We’ve designed this half-day training program to keep your staff and school up-to-date with current safety regulations. Rest assured that when you enroll your instructors in our MERT training, you can have the utmost confidence in your educators’ ability to maintain a safe, rich learning environment.

Improve Medical Staff Performance with Our Train the Trainer Program

Though most of our work involves teaching instructors how to respond to emergencies in the classroom, our efforts don’t stop there. We have an unending commitment to ensuring a child’s health needs are met at school. Part of that need includes equipping on-site medical personnel with all of the tools they need to handle emergencies when they occur. A facet of our MERT training is our Train the Trainer course, which does just that.

Our full-day Train the Trainer course is designed specifically for school nurses and medical support staff to allow them to train their teams. In Michigan, not every school has a nurse on campus. This program allows an experienced school nurse to train a team to respond to medical emergencies on site.

With an undying passion for students’ health needs, our team is more than willing to travel nationwide to deliver our MERT course. Arrange for our convenient on-site training, and we’ll adapt ourselves to your needs. With courses as short as a few hours or as long as a full day, we’ve got an option that’s sure to work for you and your staff.
